Brightness Goes Maximum When playing video with vlc, mplayer in
MacBook

Bug description:
When i start playing video in VLC player or mplayer the brightness of
my MacBook goes maximum. Whereas, for totem player it doesn't happen.
Also, whenever i reopen the MacBook (lid), the brightness resets to
maximum.
