Got this message from rhythmbox when trying to sync with my Galaxy s3:

(rhythmbox:5266): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_instance_get_private: 
assertion `instance != NULL && instance->g_class != NULL' failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I think Geoffrey Pursell is right in thinking it is related to bug
1015010. This assertion error might be caused by rhytmbox not getting
the infomation it needs from libmtp?

  Steps to reproduce:

  1) Open rhythmbox
  2) Connect a Samsung Galaxy S3; it will appear as "Media Player"
  3) Right-click "Media Player"
  4) Select "Properties"

  Rhythmbox will freeze.
