Does this still happen in ubuntu 12.04? As far as I know, nautilus cd
burner is deprecated in favour of brasero.

  After writing to a blank DVD-R, the error dialog pops up:
  Unable to mount blank optical disk
  Dbus Error
  org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.NotFound: The given volume was not found

  Using RW media, this error does not occur.
