upstream closed the bug with that comment

"We already show the free space in the properties dialog. I don't think it makes
sense to show a pie chart for the entire volume on every directory."

Title:
  nautilus pie-chart isn't seen inside a folder.

Status in Nautilus:
  Won't Fix
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

The nautilus pie-chart was introduced with the May 15th upload. While
it does show for e.g. A CDROM having something like 700 MiB or
thereabouts are seen if one moves to the folders then the pie-chart is
not seen. I wanted to see how let's say the CD/DVD is divided among a
directory but alas this is not possible atm. Attaching couple of
images to tell the same. May give more attachments later.
