Title:
screen does not refresh until mouse click or movement over responsive
  area

Status in Unity:
  Expired
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
On the X window, I'm getting almost no screen refreshes. Clicking the
mouse, pushing enter in a terminal, or sometimes just moving the mouse
will trigger a screen refresh. Also, bits of window edges are left
  behind when dragging them aroudn.

I think this is a regression. A few days ago, I didn't have this
problem, then after updating, it suddenly happened. Removing the
restricted nvidia driver (current or current-updates) doesn't make any
  difference.
