Title:
NetworkManager cannot connect to unsecured after secured
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
If you are connected to a protected Network (wpa,wep) and then want to
connect to an unprotected network (ie at a hotel) NM wil not connect.
It sees the SSID, it attempts a connection but then fails. If you try
to connect to another protected network, it will happily connect. The
only way I have been able to connect to an unprotected network it to
reboot. Then it works fine. If I then find a protected network, it
will switch to this, but then I am in protected network jail again
until reboot. I do not always have power over if a network is
protected or not.
