Title: deja-dup causes Unity to crash when backup device isn't available Status in “deja-dup” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: When the backup location is not mounted, Déjà Dup will not fail gracefully and will cause major slowdowns and lockups on the system when it launches automatically. (I've had to kill it by switching to tty1 and issuing `killall -9 deja-dup deja-dup-monitor`.) This is a major problem, especially on portable computers where a backup device may not always be connected.
