As people have been mentioning, this is most likely due to a locally
installed Google Calendar provider in addition to having xul-ext-gdata-
provider installed. The locally installed addon with take precedence,
so if you remove that, you should be up to date.

** Changed in: thunderbird (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Incomplete

** Package changed: thunderbird (Ubuntu) => lightning-extension (Ubuntu)

Title:
  Thunderbird no longer displays Google Calendar

Status in “lightning-extension” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  This seems to have been happening since Thunderbird 15.0: Even though
  I have Lightning (1.7b3) and Provider for Google Calendar (0.13) add-
  ons installed, and the correct ICS address for my Google Calendar
  entered, I am unable to see the calendar.

  This used to work just fine until recently...
