I've just upgraded to firefox 15 and global menu bar 3.4 and can confirm
everything works now (i.e. can have both firebug and global menu bar
enabled as add-ons).

Title:
Firefox 14 crashes when globalmenu and firebug 1.10.2 are both enabled

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I can confirm the problem described by someone else here:

  http://askubuntu.com/questions/173732/firefox-keeps-crashing-
  repeatedly

Note the possibly relevant log message on that page. Firefox crashes
on startup if both the globalmenu add-on and firebug are both
installed. Removing one or the other fixes the problem. I suggest this
is a problem with the globalmenu extension rather than firebug,
because firebug used to work fine in Firefox 13.
