Maximized Unity Dash is Laggy

Bug description:
When the Unity Dash is maximized it is very slow and laggy. For
example, I can move my mouse from one icon to the next and it takes a
couple of seconds to move. But when the Dash is the regular size it
works fine. I have checked the Dash on another machine of mine and it
works perfectly with a poorer system configuration than this computer.
