Title:
  network-manager locks up system

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

The system locks up when trying to edit wireless settings. I can still
use Ctrl-Alt F1 to get to a console. Killing the network-manager
  process does nothing.
