  gnome-control-center crashed with SIGABRT in raise()

  I tried to change the name of a user account.  I clicked the unlock
  and typed my password.  Then I clicked on teh name field and it
  immediately grew really large and disappeard from the screen.  The
  system then became very unresponsive.
