Public bug reported: I use my Mobile LG GT540 and Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit to connect in 3G mode. But it works randomly. Really often I can't find the voice "Enable Mobile Broadband" in the nm-applet menu and unplug and replug my mobile doesn't work most of the times. Hence, I need to restart Ubuntu (often I need to restart it several times before the connection is available).
I've tried to launch Ubuntu and THEN plug the mobile, but that doesn't give me the certainty to have a working connection. Kill and relaunch nm-applet gives the same result. It seems that sometimes the modem of my mobile is immediately well recognised, sometimes not. That means a lot of time wasting...
