Manual is not very helpful when learning how to set pair with gconf.
And Trial-and-error leads mysterious:
When setting a pair you must specify a primitive car-type and cdr-type
Documentation leads that these terms come form Lisp, but not further how
to actually use them.
suggestion:
Add one more Example to the manual
gconftool-2 --set --type pair --car-type=string --cdr-type=string
/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd/layouts '(fi,nodeadkeys)'
(even better would be example where pair has different types)
