Title:
Doesn't start up, issues with cache

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
If you run the software center from the Xfce menu it shows a blank
  window.

If I run "software-center" from the terminal I get this:

And the window doesn't even show up and I can't close software-center
  with ctrl-c.

Here are some info about package/system:

  giedrius@giedriusbuntu:~$ apt-cache show "software-center"
  Package: software-center
  Priority: optional
  Section: gnome
  Installed-Size: 4256
  Maintainer: Michael Vogt <m...@ubuntu.com>
  Architecture: all
  Version: 5.2.5

  giedrius@giedriusbuntu:~$ uname -a

I suspect this glitch may have appeared after some upgrade because it
  was working fine yesterday.
