try running Software Center in debug mode from a terminal window as
follows:
$ software-center --debug 2> /tmp/software-center-debug.log
Then follow the steps to reproduce the issue, and finally attach the
file /tmp/software-center-debug.log to this bug report.

Hangs (with 100% CPU usage) when trying to log-in for recommendations

Bug description:
Using 12.04 64-bits, when I try to turn on software-center
recommendations the "create new accout" dialog hangs while apparently
waiting for a "captcha", and uses 100% CPU (times 2 cores). When
clicking on "I already have an accout", the dialog changes but the CPU
usage stays. I can enter credentials but when I hit enter or click
"continue" nothing happens. I have tried cleaning up ~/.*/software* to
start it fresh, to no avail.
