Cannot launch external editor for photos in directories with
apostrophe
Status in “shotwell” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
This may be related to Bug #1048454
I was unable to edit a photo using "Open with External Editor".
Instead of loading "/home/abentley/Pictures/Old family photos/Lynne's
pix/image0029.jpg", it launched The Gimp, which said:
Opening '/home/abentley/Pictures/Old family photos/Lynne's' failed: No such
file or directory
Calling error for procedure 'file-jpeg-load':
Could not open '/home/abentley/pix/image0029_modified.jpg' for reading: No
such file or directory
Opening '/home/abentley/pix/image0029_modified.jpg' failed: Could not open
'/home/abentley/pix/image0029_modified.jpg' for reading: No such file or
directory
When I changed the external editor to "Image Viewer", it said: "The
given locations contain no images".
