Title:
pin dialog pops up on each boot inside the greeter
Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
When user has a mobile broadband dongle attached to the computer
(either external or internal) with SIM card in place and PIN code has
not been disabled each time the user boots the machine SIM PIN Unlock
dialog is presented in the greeter. This happens because there is no
way of storing the PIN in general as system wide. The PIN can be
stored per system wide mobile broadband configuration, but that does
not prevent the PIN dialog from being displayed.
[expected results]
There is a way of preventing the SIM PIN dialog from popping up on each boot.
[actual results]
PIN dialog shows up on every boot.
