Chris Hermansen, this is unreproducible in Xubuntu.

+ Is this consistently reproducible in the newest version of Writer from the
Quantal repository?
+ If you uninstall libreoffice-gtk, is this still reproducible?

Title:
soffice.bin crashed with SIGSEGV in g_lo_action_group_activate()

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
In Quantal, up to date as of today.

I opened Libre Office writer, clicked on File>Recent Documents.

I have been experimenting recently with a template (.ott) and I
clicked on it, to open. Nothing much appeared to happen for the next
15 seconds or so, so I clicked on File> again and the writer window
darkened, then crashed (disappeared). Nothing left running on the
  system.

Subsequent to this apport report, I started up writer again, which led
me to the crash recovery screen for "Untitled" (not my template),
  which recovered ok (apparently).
