Apologies if I have selected the incorrect package as I am not 100%
sure whether the panel is run under unity-2d-launcher; the attached
screenshot will hopefully clear it up if not!
- 12.04 has previously loaded with the left-hand panel displayed until an
application window is loaded, at which point it would auto-hide
- Today this stopped happening and the panel remained permanently visible in
the foreground of active windows (see screenshot); reboot did not resolve
- workaround was to install compizconfig-settings-manager and change the
display setting under Desktop > Ubuntu Unity Plugin to Autohide
- Since uninstalling compizconfig-settings-manager again, the panel is
sometimes autohiding, sometimes not; any suggestions on logs/other info I could
grab to get more detail on what's going on would be great!
