Title:
Gnome does not properly detect battery
Status in “upower” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Hi all,
Recently my battery stopped being detected on gnome-power-statistics.
So I went to investigate. I tried to check my battery on
/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0, but I couldn't find it. "acpi -b" reported
that the battery was present, so I investigated deeper. It seems like
the new /sys interface is being favored and therefore the battery
information is found at:
/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/
Although I'm using RicoTZ's Gnome-testing ppa, his PPA does not
include g-p-m, so I believe that's where I should include the bug.
