Title:
applications-microblogging-panel icon is confusing
Status in “ubuntu-mono” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubuntu-mono
The applications-microblogging-panel icon looks confusing:
- A large number of people I talk to can't work out what it is. I think it's
supposed to be a bird (i.e. like Twitter?), but I'm not 100% sure.
- It looks very similar to the chat icon. So similar in fact I first took it
to be a rendering error.
The metaphors for broadcasting I can think of are:
- Transmission tower - too much like the wireless icon
- Megaphone
