Installation seems to run correctly, but upon booting the system, the
graphical user interface does not come up. What comes up instead is a
blank screen with a mouse pointer. The mouse pointer has a corrupted
background tile that follows it around the screen. The consoles work so
it is possible to ssh in and run various graphical apps remotely.
