Title:
Software Center needs bigger top promo images
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
(I mean images in the top part of Software Center, like this:
http://itmages.com/image/view/648628/e9518548).
On the widescreen monitors that promo images looks ugly, because
they're shorter than width of monitor. Extra space is filling with
white color.
My display resolution is 1920x1080.
Ways to solve the problem:
1. Make the images really long: 3000px or more.
2. Fill extra space with special color: e.g. it could be filled with #02B4F2
for Skype 4 ad, with black for Humble Bundle for Android ad... etc. All images
that are in top now have only single background color (not gradient), so it
will be simple.
