Still occurring with Beta 2 live-usb. I attempted to grab a screenshot
but the windows to navigate screenshots did not draw either. Unity
sidebar and panel eventually draw, but desktop pulls a series of screens
from various apps (Thunderbird with emails/addresses legible, Firefox
sites visited recently, desktop images for my wife and I, etc.)

  lightdm doesn't draw correctly

Bug description:
  Live-usb boots with screen fragmentation on either "install" or "try before 
installing" options. CTRL+ALT+F1 and restarting lightdm fixes the issue.
  Has occured on live-usb since attempting to install beta on Dell Inspiron 
1520.
