Bug description:
I just installed Ubuntu 12.4 and laptop speakers worked out of the box
at first.
Headphones do not work at all, and now that I tried to put them in,
laptop speaker sound also ceased to function. Test sounds in sound
settings are not audible. I do get the ubuntu startup sound on the
login screen after I restart the computer, so it's not a physical
problem.
I tried to use alsamixer to unmute all channels without any effect at
all.
