Title:
  lightdm init crashes

Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
ive got 2 machines running 11.10
  lightdm 1.0.6-0ubuntu1.2

someday lightdm didnt work anymore. and at login the desktop hang for 30 secs.
completly removing and reinstalling does not fix the problem cause
/var/lib/lightdm got wrong permissons on reinstall.
thats the first thing to fix.

gdd works fine. ill test dan upload logs soon.

[ 4.691691] init: failsafe main process (825) killed by TERM signal
  [ 4.692040] init: apport pre-start process (945) terminated with status 1
  [ 4.706158] init: apport post-stop process (992) terminated with status 1
[ 4.707365] init: lightdm main process (952) killed by TERM signal

  gdm is group 126
  and lightdm 108
may i should mention that ive got an ssd so the boot is abnormal fast and
there may are race conditions or something like that.
