sound works only as root
Status in “alsa-utils” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
All sound stopped working except for root.
Lubuntu 12.04
aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav
aplay: main:682: audio open error: Permission denied
sudo aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav
works fine
user is a member of audio group
pulseaudio not installed
Trouble shot with #lubuntu on IRC but got nowhere.
