Title:
Stores session every 10 seconds, causing high disk-usage

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: firefox

By default, browser.sessionstore.interval is set to 10000
milliseconds, which is 10 seconds. This means the disk is waking up
every 10 seconds as long as Firefox is running, which means the disk
can't really sleep (bad for power usage), lots of extra cycles for
SSDs (bad for longevity), and degraded performance due to near-
  constant I/O.

The number should be raised, perhaps to 30000 (30 seconds) or maybe
  even 60000 (1 minute).
