Title:
Cannot print to IPP network printer with 12.10 client

Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
The version of CUPS in 12.10 introduced a new autodetection for IPP
printers via Avahi. I am unable to print anything to the printer until
I log into the server the printer is connected to and run "cupsctl
--share-printers". I need to do that every time I try to print
something or else the printer status says "In use unable to locate
printer." As soon as I run the cupsctl command the job prints
  immediately.

Expected result: I should be able to print to an IPP network printer
using the avahi autodetection without having to run cupsctl --share-
  printers every time.

Actual result: I can't print anything without running cupsctl --share-
printers every time I want to print something

The printer is an HP P1505 hooked up to an Ubuntu 12.04 server.
