Notice I am now using _autofs_ to work around this bug / missing feature, especially for smb urls. But this really makes dektop / firefox integration less than optimal with default install...

"Loading" text is shortly shown in the status bar, after which it turns to "(Untitled)" blank page. Suggestion (in this preference order): 1. Open handlers in corresponding application (e.g. nautilus) 2. Show an error page 3.
