Spontaneous loss of text selection when dragging cursor.

Bug description:
When I drag the cursor to select some text, the drag suddenly loses
the text selection.
In a document, try selecting some text and, holding the mouse, move
the cursor around. One sometimes loses his or her text selection!
It's very bothersome too.
