  Application menu shadow on unity panel

Bug description:
  I set the opacity of the panel to 0% as it is totally transparent. When I 
move the mouse pointer away from the panel the application menu should 
disappear, but it remain shown like a shadow.
  When the opacity is set a value to greater than 0%, the application menu 
disappears correctly.
  See the picture attached.
