Bug description:
According to a recent thread on ubuntuforums.org
(http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=403347&highlight=sound+events)
most people turn sound events off. They are a bit of an annoyance for
many and of little benefit to most. Unless there is some sort of
accessibility issue I'm not seeing, I personally think the sound
events should be turned off by default.
