Title:
  [9.04] regular vector printing broken

Status in Inkscape: A Vector Drawing Tool:
  Invalid
Status in “inkscape” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: inkscape

  Ubuntu 9.04
  inkscape 0.46-5ubuntu4

If I try to print the attached file directly from Inkscape with the
vector rendering backend to an HP LaserJet 3020 then ghostscript
crashes and leaves a gigantic temp file in /var/spool/cups/tmp. The
temp file seems to grow to fill however much free space is available
  on the partition.

On the other hand, if I "Print to file" using the vector rendering
backend (ps or pdf) and then print the resulting output.[ps|pdf] file
on the same printer then it works fine.

This is very frustrating because clearly cups, the printer, and
inkscape are working, but something in the inkscape print path is
screwing things up. There is no way I can train my users to work
  around this problem.
