This bug has been fixed on my system by the lightdm 1.4.0 upload to
quantal.

Bug description:
ubuntu 12.04 (last update today, 3/3/2012)
lightdm 1.1.3
1.) Boot
=> LightDM is shown
2.) Move mouse cursor to session selector button
=> Mouse moves slow
=> The button is highlighted after more that 3 seconds
3.) Click button
=> It takes tooooooooo long for the list to show
Note:

This only happend after dist-upgrade to 12.04 (beta), before everything
worked fine.
