I confirm what itsjustarumour is facing. Menu bar is gone under GNOME Shell. I hadn't bumped into this bug until today's upgrade to 3.6.2. I didn't even realize that people were facing this issue in previous versions too. Without the menu bar LibreOffice is unusable.
