Title:
[kubuntu] File dialogs uses wrong filter for "All Files"

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: openoffice.org

When opening a file, one possible option is "All Files (*.*)". Since
the filter really is *.* rather than *, the open file dialogue will
not find any files without a dot extension. That is to say it will
find "file.txt" or "file." but not "file". This is confusing to the
user and makes it seem that your files have disappeared.

The same problem exists in other file opening dialogues such as the
ones in the Insert->Object functions that refer to files where the
<All> filter is in fact *.*. Note in those dialogues there is no clue
given that only *.* is being filtered. Replacing <All> with * gives
  the expected results.
