regression from a previous version of Thunderbird to the current Thunderbird or from evolution to Thunderbird? The latter isn't really a regression at all.

In Thunderbird, you can still select sign/encrypt on a message, but it drops you into a dialog asking you to configure smime, with no reference to the keys already added in seahorse or any pgp at all.. this is a significant regression.
