Title:
Some tiled windows move when switching workspaces
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Ubuntu 12.04.1 32bit
Unity 5.16.0-0ubuntu1
Compiz 1:0.9.7.8-0ubuntu1.4
Some windows (gnome-terminal, nautilus, maybe others) behave erratically when
they are in "tiled" mode (dragged to one of the window edges/corners) and a
workspace switch is being performed.
Though, it only seems to happend when you have the corners enabled in the
"Grid" compiz plugin.
To reproduce:
- open CCSM and set Grid->Edges->Resize Actions->Upper Left Corner to "Top
Left Corner"
- open gnome-terminal
- drag it to the upper-left workspace corner to tile it
- switch workspaces via Expo (with super-s or launcher icon)
- note how the terminal window is now on the workspace you just switched to
This is quite a pain since I'm working with tiling terminals and
workspace switching a lot. It happens with all corners, though it
doesn't seem to happen with windows tiled across the whole left or
right side of the workspace.
