Jeremy, how about with backports or some other ppa enabled? not having
keyboard layout changing options is basically a reason not to use 12.10
at all for a lot of people

Bug description:
In Gnome 3.6, Input Source had been integrated into the Control
Center, which is very important for CJK users to setup their input
method. However pre-release is still stuck in 3.4.2, I think it's time
to move on
