With rhythmbox 2.98, whenever there is an audio CD in my drive,
rhythmbox just crashes. I think it happens when it tries to retrieve
track titles.

Title:
rhythmbox sees cd and immediately loses it

Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  lsb_release -rd
  -------------------------
  Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch)
  Release: 12.04
  -------------------------

  Package info:
  -------------------------
  rhythmbox:
    Installed: 2.96-0ubuntu3
    Candidate: 2.96-0ubuntu3
    Version table:
   *** 2.96-0ubuntu3 0
          500 http://mirror.lstn.net/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
  -------------------------

  What I expected to happen
  -------------------------

I expected to insert a cd, choose rhythmbox as the application i
wanted to run, rhythmbox finds cd and its info from internet (or at
least reads from info stored on cd), and keeps the entry under devices
and allows me to extract to library.

  -------------------------

  What actually happened
  -------------------------

I inserted a cd into my external cd drive (my internal cd drive is not
working), and i get the prompt asking what I want to do, I tell it to
open rhythmbox. I see "Audio CD" show up for a split second, then
sometimes for another split second I see the name of the CD (it has it
embedded with cd-text from the manufacturer), and then finally it just
disappears from the list. If I click on audio disc in the unity panel,
then rhythmbox finds the cd again, but will not gather the information
from it or from the internet.

  -------------------------

  Additional information
  -------------------------

I performed an upgrade from my existing 11.10 installation to the
12.04 beta 1 and just today did another 'apt-get dist-upgrade'.

I also had gnome-shell installed until the dist-upgrade I did today
removed it, it left the gnome classic behind.

I have banshee, vlc media player, xbmc, and k3b with the extracodecs
package installed as well, if any of this affects rhythmbox.
