usually notebook internal speaker 's pin default are [Fixed] Speaker at int
and desktop 's line out jack 's pin default are [Jack] Line Out at ext rear

if your desktop 's line out jacks are [Jack] Speaker , the driver assume
that they are internal speaker of note book and create notebook specific
control (e.g. mic jack mode) which retask mic in jack as line in jack.
but desktop already has blue line in jack

Simple mixer control 'Rear Mic Jack Mode',0
  Capabilities: enum
  Items: 'Mic In' 'Line In'
  Item0: 'Mic In'

Title:
  Very low sound on HP p7-1227c

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Anyone else ever encountered issues with low sound?

  Installed a fresh new install of ubuntu 12.04 x64 alongside Win7.
  Everything runs great except for the sound.

  Computer is a [hp pavilion p7-1227c][1].

  **What i've tried:**

  * I've also tried adding the latest audio ppa.
  * reinstalling `alsa` and `alsa-mixer`
  * Check the settings in system -> sound
  * Attempted to unmute and amplify the speakers, headset etc
  * Modified settings in `pavucontrol`
  * Attempted this solution:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/271519

  Also, this is my alsa output: [http://www.alsa-
  project.org/db/?f=de7e2bfb645f4fa5c2687ad6742d7ccdfb8fe6ec][2]

  Any ideas? I just installed a new install of ubuntu 12.04 on this
  particular computer.
