Title:
vinagre crashed with SIGSEGV in g_utf8_validate()

Status in “vinagre” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Was trying to connect to a VNC server. The server was configured to
prompt clients for a password. Vinagre seemed to crash right when it
was supposed to prompt me for that password.

(After I disabled password-prompting on the VNC server, vinagre could
connect successfully and didn't crash anymore.)
