Affects me in Xubuntu on Toshiba Portege R830-13C.
The brightness control in the taskbar works until I suspend. When I come
back from suspend, it doesn't work any more.
The brightness buttons on the keyboard don't work at all.
Both the control and the buttons worked fine on the same laptop in
Xubuntu 12.04, so this is a regression.

quantal monitor brightness is not adjustable

Bug description:
I use a quantal daily live cd for amd64 from todays date.
The live system is starting properly, but on system settings -> brightness
and look -> brighness bar
any adjustments have no effect on the monitor brightness.
So, the connection between scrolling bar and brightness value seems to
be broken.
