I guess this bug is a duplicate of #1048059. In the comments there I
found a simple workaround:

Open a terminal window and use the following two commands (comments may
be left out):

# Add a folder
sudo mkdir /media/USERNAME

# assign the folder to my user
sudo chown USERNAME.USERNAME /media/USERNAME

Title:
  external usb TOSHIBA disk could not be mounted

Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hi, after upgradind from 12.04 LTS to 12.10 (my mistake!!) my external
  disk could not be mounted; it is reconigsed by nautilus, appears on it
  but it cannot be mountes givine the error: "Incapaz de montar TOSHIBA.
  Adding read ACL for uid 1000 to `/media/paulo' failed: Operation not
  supported". The same error for my USB DVD drive.

  Help please.
