launchpad website slows down browser

Bug description:
When using firefox on kubuntu, launchpad.net site has recently started
slowing down the browser. I can click any other open tab on firefox
and it will immediately load, but when I click one that is displaying
a launchpad bug, there is a >5 second lag before it displays.
Scrolling is also laggy.
