Title:
Sound recorder in 12.10 stops and machine hangs after 40 minutes
  recording from microphone

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After upgrading from 12.04 to 12.10, my sound recorder was
unresponsive when the record button was pushed. it was fixed with some
updates. but now, the sound recorder stops recording just after 40
minutes and hangs with a message "no input found". immediately, the
system gets hanged and the recording done is lost. there is no other
way but to hard reset the PC to make it working again. it happens
every time I record via sound recorder over 40 minutes and there is no
issue with memory in directory where it will be saved. it was smooth
and ok in 12.04. I want to fix this. but nothing has been changed yet
  with all updates.

  Can anyone help?
