Nice, thanks for this bug report. However, it seems correct that a
removed application should disappear from the Launcher as soon as the
removal starts, rather than when it finishes. The application stops
being usable very soon after removal begins, and it's not going to
become usable any time later, so I don't see any point in showing it any
longer. This is unlike when you install an application, where you may be
waiting impatiently for it to become usable.

I have updated the USC and software package operations specifications to cover
this: "If the item is represented in the Launcher, it should immediately
disappear from the Launcher".
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter?action=diff&rev2=666&rev1=665>
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwarePackageOperations?action=diff&rev2=10&rev1=9>

If you think there's a good reason the launcher item should stay visible
after removal begins, please reopen this bug report. Thanks.

Bug description:
  Ubunu 12.04 precise with ppa:2100 all GPUs.

  Ubuntu Software Center Launcher Integration, uninstalling an
  application.

  #. In Software Center, click the "Installed" toolbar button to access the
list of installed applications.
  #. Choose an installed application to remove (choose one for which there is a
corresponding icon in the Unity launcher).
  #. Click the "More Info" button.
  #. In the details view for the application, click the "Remove" button.
  #. Enter the password for the remove when prompted.

  Expected result:
  At the very *end* of the installation process, verify that the corresponding
icon in the Unity launcher is *removed*.

  Actual result:
  Icon is removed straight away. Well before progress bar reaches end.
