Title:
Can't change filename pattern of gnome-screenshot

Status in “gnome-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
In older versions gnome-screenshot just created files named like
"screenshot-1.png" which was fine. But in newer versions it is always
named with a long pattern that even includes the time and therefore a
":" on my system. This makes it impossible to upload the image to
several hosts without manually renaming it. So i was looking to change
the filename pattern which seams to be impossible without compiling my
own version. I would strongly suggest to allow the user to define an
own pattern or to avoid any format that includes the ":" character.
